Mitsui's Vertical Integration Since its foundation, Mitsui High-tec Inc. has been producing various products centered on "ultra-precision technology base" as the fruit of efforts to improve and complete the education and personnel management systems that back up the advancing ability in technology. It is the "High-tec Tree" that shows our philosophy of growing up the technology. A tree absorbs nutriments and water through its roots, grows a trunk, and feed nutriments to leaves through the trunk. Then the leaves spread out into sunlight and bear fruits. In other words, technologies accumulate under various education and personnel management systems and become nutriment, which is absorbed up by a tree through the "root of technology", grows a trunk of "precision technology base" and spreads leaves. Then the tree bears fruits, that is, products. We, Mitsui High-tec wish to expand our roots firmly in the soil, grow a big trunk and produce a variety of new fruits in the future. Mitsui's logotype Shown on the left is Mitsui's official logotype. After 1970s, proportion of IC-related business made a rapid increase, and the company itself took a further step of globalization including affiliated firms. Under such circumstances, we changed the name of company from "Mitsui Manufacturing Co., Ltd." to "Mitsui High-tec Inc." in 1984 and, accompanying the change of company name, the logotype shown in the left was newly adopted. Shown in the left is the logotype of the company when it was called Mitsui Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Though replaced with the present official logotype in 1984, the old logotype is still born on the dies and machine tools that have been produced since that time as the mark of verifying Mitsui's steady reliability. The company name was changed indeed, but our enthusiasm to the products has not changed at all.
